We love a good rest day, and with the heat of the past few days, this one was very timely. We don't want to bore you with the details, but there were a couple of things that warrant mentioning.
First, we want to thank Bruce and Gord Martin at Cyco's Bike Shop located at 5 Hawthorne Avenue in Ottawa. With no notice, they immediately fit us into their busy schedule and tuned both our bikes for us. We truly appreciate your generosity guys!

Later in the day, we had tickets for the 2:20PM tour of the Parliament Buildings. While waiting for the tour to start, Cam turned around and was shocked to see a couple of friendly faces from Calgary - Jeff Smith and his son Chris. Cam worked with Jeff's wife Lisa at Hemisphere GPS for about 12 years before they both finished there at the end of May. Jeff had driven with Chris to PEI to help his father-in-law with some projects and was on his way back to Calgary. They drove into Ottawa for the tour and were heading further West afterwards. What an amazing coincidence - it was great to catch up with them and see the tour together!
